Hi! I'm Shannon.
Thanks for taking the time to see if I might be a good fit for you throughout your therapy journey!
I became a therapist because I have a natural ability to help people feel comfortable opening up and I believe good therapy can be incredibly impactful! Therapy can be a multitude of things depending on what you are looking for; a safe space to process challenging experiences or emotions, a space to work on emotional wellness, improve self-image, work on relationships with others, and/or to learn more about yourself.
My focus has always been to create a space where people feel heard, understood, and empowered. I approach therapy with a strengths based and solution focused perspective, while integrating evidence-based treatment approaches including CBT, DBT, and ACT. I believe my clients would describe me as warm, supportive, and easy to talk to.
I earned my Master of Social Work degree from the University of Michigan and have many years of experience in the field of mental health. I have experience working with all ages in a variety of settings and I specialize in working with teens, young adults, and college students who are experiencing anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, relationship conflict, family issues, and
ADHD.
If this sounds like the type of therapy you are looking for, please reach out!
