Alishia Ebel, LMSW
Hi there! An important part of therapy is finding the right therapist that you connect with. Thank you for taking the time to get to know about me to see if I am the right fit for you!
I earned my Master of Social Work degree from Wayne State University in 2008 and have since worked with all age groups to address various mental health needs. I specialize in treating adolescents and adults who are experiencing symptoms of anxiety, depression, and difficulty dealing with life stressors such as relationships, work/school issues, self-esteem, adjustment difficulties, and family issues. I have a passion for working with teens and have had much success breaking through the barriers that they put up to those around them.
My sessions are very relaxed and personal. My style is different than what you see in movies or on TV. I want you to feel just as comfortable coming to therapy as you would having coffee with a friend. I believe feeling comfortable and supported in a relaxed environment enhances the therapeutic relationship and one’s ability to achieve their goals. I specialize in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) but incorporate many other approaches based on the presenting issue and what will work best based on your strengths. If this sounds like the type of therapy that you are looking for, I encourage you to schedule an appointment with me and take that first leap.
