Welcome!
Hi, I’m Andrea. I’m so glad you’re taking this step on your mental health journey! Finding a therapist who feels like the right fit is such an important part of the process. I invite you to read more about me below, and please don’t hesitate to reach out if you’d like to connect or have any questions.
Approach to Therapy
When you're going through a tough time, people often say things like “just stay positive” or “don’t worry about it.” They mean well, but let’s be honest—pushing away painful emotions isn’t always possible. In the type of therapy I do, we don’t try to get rid of those tough feelings. Instead, we focus on accepting them, getting clear on what really matters to you, and taking steps toward meaningful changes in your life. I use a collaborative approach and like to use mindfulness, simple exercises, and take-home tools—whatever works best for you.
Therapeutic Orientation & Experience
My primary therapeutic orientation is acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), and I also draw in aspects from other modalities such as motivational interviewing, solution-focused therapy, CBT, DBT, and behavioral interventions, depending on your needs. I also have training in the Gottman Method for couples counseling. I have experience working with children, adolescents, adults, and couples on a variety of issues such as self-esteem, anxiety, depression, ADHD, life transitions, relationship concerns, parenting and behavioral issues and more. I have a strong passion for working with college students, young adults, and mothers who are navigating stressful life changes and struggling to prioritize their wellness.

About Me
Outside of work, you can find me going for nature walks, exploring local coffee shops and restaurants, enjoying a good book, and spending time with my friends, family, and two adorable cats.

I'm looking forward to the possibility of supporting you on your journey!
