Hi! My name is Danielle. Reaching out for support exhibits strength and resilience. Through difficult situations, supporting individuals facing mental health challenges has always been a passion of mine. It has allowed me to demonstrate empathy as well as my care and concern for those who may need assistance during challenging times. These experiences have given me the privilege of working with a variety of populations while simultaneously developing my knowledge and skills as a clinical therapist.
I have experience providing various evidence-based interventions and have worked with clients seeking help for concerns such as: anxiety, OCD, depression, mood regulation, low self-esteem, grief, parental coaching, and supporting youth through divorce.
I would describe my therapeutic approach as anti-oppressive, trauma-informed and family family-focused. I provide a supportive, safe, and nonjudgmental space that is conducive to enhancing self-awareness and self-compassion. Starting therapy can be hard! That's why I make it a priority to establish a strong therapeutic relationship built on mutual trust, respect and care.
I completed my Bachelor's degree at the University of Windsor in Psychology and a Masters of Social Work degree at Wayne State University in interpersonal practice with a specializing in cognitive behavioral therapy.
